Your data,
handled with care.
How ECHO uses the information you share with us.Who we are
Pure Aruba Events Foundation d.b.a. Echo Aruba ("ECHO", "Echo Aruba Volunteers"), Bernard van de Veen Zeppenfeldtstraat 6, San Nicolas, Aruba. ECHO is the volunteering branch of ArtisA. Contact for anything about your data: admin@echoaruba.org.
What we collect
When you register for a call: your contact details, date of birth, nationality, passport number and expiry date, address, emergency contact, your sending organisation (if any), your answers about your skills, experience, motivation and living together, your photo and your CV. The extra support step is optional; if you fill it in, it can include information about health, disability or your background. We do not ask for a copy of your passport until you are selected.
Why we use it
To assess your application, to contact you, and, if you are selected, to arrange your placement: for example booking flights and accommodation, insurance, and the reporting the European Solidarity Corps requires. We use the extra support information only to arrange support for you. With your separate consent, we use photos, videos and testimonials from the project to promote ECHO and the European Solidarity Corps, and we contact you about feedback and new opportunities.
Who we share it with
Only with those who help make your placement happen: our partner organisations, your sending organisation, the European Solidarity Corps and its national agencies, airlines, accommodation providers and insurers. We never sell your data.
Where it is kept and for how long
Registrations are stored on our own website, hosted by Hostinger, in a private area that only ECHO administrators can open. Your photo and CV are kept in a folder that cannot be opened from the web. A copy of each registration is emailed to admin@echoaruba.org. We keep your information securely for 5 years after your project ends, as stated on the form, and then delete it.
Your browser
While you fill in a registration form, your answers (not your files) are saved in your own browser so you can continue later. They are removed from your browser when you send the form. You can also clear them by clearing your browser data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, ask us to stop using it, or withdraw any consent you gave, at any time, by writing to admin@echoaruba.org. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
